Hello there! We recently tried a fantastic twist on nachos that we just had to share with you—sweet potato nachos using the Thai sweet white potato. This unique ingredient adds a flavor we instantly fell in love with and we are sure you’ll enjoy it too!

Sweet Potato Nachos with CNC Cheese Sauce
Prepare Sweet Potato Chips
To get that perfect crunch, set your oil temperature to 165-170°C (329-338°F). Slice the sweet potatoes thinly and fry them until they’re nice and crispy. It takes a bit of time, but the result is well worth it.
Ingredients
- 2 medium white sweet potatoes (or any sweet potato of your choice)
- Oil for frying
- Salt for seasoning
Instructions
- Slice sweet potatoes thinly (about 1/8 inch thick) using a mandoline or a sharp knife.
- Heat oil in a large skillet or deep fryer over medium-high heat.
- Fry sweet potato slices in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt immediately.
Make Chili Nut Crunch Cheese Sauce
For the cheese sauce, you can try Comté, a favorite around here, but any mild semi-soft cheese works just fine. Mix in some Chili Nut Crunch for a bit of spice and nutty flavor. It’s creamy and adds just the right kick!
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cups Comte cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup Chili Nut Crunch
Instructions
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Whisk in the flour and cook, stirring continuously, until the mixture is golden and forms a paste (about 1 minute).
- Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring no lumps form. Cook until the mixture thickens slightly (about 2-3 minutes).
- Reduce heat to low and add the cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Stir in the Chili Nut Crunch to add a spicy, nutty kick to your cheese sauce.
Assemble Your Nachos
Once your potatoes are ready, top them with whatever your heart desires. We love adding sliced avocado, fresh cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice, making each bite fresh and flavorful.

- Extra grated cheese
- More Chili Nut Crunch
- Lime wedges
Instructions
- Arrange the fried sweet potato chips on a serving platter or individual plates.
- Drizzle with warm CNC cheese sauce.
- Top with sliced avocado, chopped cilantro, and extra grated cheese for cheesier delight.
- Sprinkle more Chili Nut Crunch on top for flavor and texture.
- Serve with lime wedges for squeezing over the nachos.
